Choctaw Casino and Resort, Durant // Oklahoma
Choctaw Casinos & Resorts— A couple of weeks ago Caleb and I, as well as some of our married besties Emily & Blake, went to Choctaw Casino & Resort in Durant, Oklahoma and it was the perfect place for a weekend away. It was only 1 hour and 15 minutes from Dallas which made the trip so quick. Plus, it was golden hour so the drive was gorgeous! We had the best stay at Choctaw Casino & Resort. From check-in to check-out our weekend was jam packed. My favorite part was how much there was to do and yet we never had to leave! A close second was that the staff was amazing, helpful, and so friendly!
We arrived Friday and checked-in and then got settled. We were all so hungry and ready to have dinner and it was really convenient to have SO many options, from Smashburger, 1832 Steakhouse, Subway, La Cantina, and quite a few others. We all quickly agreed on La Cantina because margs and queso is always an obvious choice ;) Afterwards we went to The District and took pictures in the photo booth because what is a memory without a photo-strip?? Finally, we ended the night bowling, which although I did terribly, we had so much fun.
Saturday included the most delicious breakfast at Grand Cafe followed by a 90 (yes, I said 90) MINUTE couples’ massage! It was one of the best massages I have ever had. The spa was beautiful and it was fun for us all to relax in the waterfall mineral bath and reflection waters following our massages. The afternoon the guys spent time playing Blackjack and we all spent time gaming before dinner. For dinner we went to the 1832 Steakhouse. One word describes this experience;AMAZING! Seriously every bite of dinner was one of the best foods we have ever eaten. Everything we ate was literally culinary perfection. Afterwards we gamed for a bit and again went bowling. Unfortunately, I played even worse than the night before. As we were leaving we were all getting hungry and decided to stop at the Bamboo noodle bar to finish off the night.
Sunday, we went back to Grand Cafe because we had been dreaming about the lattes and waffles from Saturday morning. We checked out and headed home reminiscing on the best time!
