The St. Anthony Hotel, A Luxury Collection // San Antonio, TX

As soon as you step into The St. Anthony Hotel you can't help but notice the intricacy and luxury of the features throughout the lobby. It is absolutely breathtaking and as we walked in we both stopped in awe. Our only plan for the weekend included relaxation and adventure. We went into the weekend with a very vague schedule, which if you have traveled with me you know is very rare. However, I loved exploring with no time constraints! We started Saturday with an incredible brunch at Loggia, which overlooks Travis Park and makes you feel as though you have been transported somewhere else. The rest of the day included: markets, churros, and exploring the city. We may or may not have enjoyed an amazing nap between adventures and honestly no shame in our game, because if you had slept in the beds at The St. Anthony's you would have as well. Often when I stay at hotels it seems as though apart from my room there aren't common areas where I can relax away from the hustle and bustle of the lobby. However, that is not the case at The St. Anthony Hotel.  You can relax at the rooftop pool either on a chair or in a private cabana. If you continue to take the elevator up you can read a book on the outdoor couches. The lobby has various chairs, couches, and seats to relax. There is also a library, ReBelle restaurant, the Haunt Lounge, and the St. Anthony Club. There were so many spots it's hard to pick just one, but the rooftop pool definitely was my favorite part of the hotel!

Apart from luxury, The St. Anthony Hotel has an extraordinary history. The hotel opened in 1909 and still retains many of the opulent touches that made the hotel unique. The hotel was re-done in both the 1950s and 2015 and now retains many of the elegant features yet has a modern twist. The hotel has had some A-list clientele from politicos, princesses, presidents, and celebrities. One of the most distinctive features of the hotel includes the green features throughout the lobby. The St. Anthony Hotel was the first luxury hotel in San Antonio and was originally the first hotel in the world that had air conditioning. Can you imagine life in San Antonio, Texas before AC? I definitely cannot, but I would love to have seen this hotel back in the day.

We absolutely loved our stay at The St. Anthony and can't wait to go back!

The St. Anthony is celebrating the 300th anniversary of San Antonio by offering The Ultimate San Antonio Tricentennial Getaway. This getaway includes A three-night stay in the John Wayne Suite, daily breakfast for two, catered dinner on a private barge along the Riverwalk, a chocolate-making class for two, and so much more. I definitely know what I'll be suggesting as an anniversary getaway! You had me at chocolate making class ;) If I were you I would book it as well! http://www.thestanthonyhotel.com/

Packing for the trip was considerably more convenient because my newest obsessions: the white romper, black jumpsuit, and pink lace dress from Olive+Pepper www.oliveandpepper.com

For road trips I typically wear workout clothes, but my off-the-shoulder sage green dress from Jojo & Lou was so comfortable! www.shopjojoandlou.com

XOXO,
